Recent statements from Irish Republicans

https://www.facebook.com/RepublicanSF/

Republican groups have no plans for ÓNH-style ceasefire

"The Continuity IRA (CIRA), which killed police officer Stephen Carroll in Criagavon in 2009, also made the organisation’s position clear last night.
“There’s no intention of a ceasefire or engaging with trade union or government officials from Britain or Ireland,” it said.
“The movement is committed to the path it’s on.
“The IRA will continue to recruit, target and train.
“The IRA’s position is that they will continue to carry out attacks on members of the security forces as and when they see fit.”

Re-reading and interesting article of Dominic Óg McGlinchey

In McT N the answer is clear for the headline of this old article. You are wearing a uniform of a colonial police force working to implement the policies of the Empire but more important to control the native population and repress the national insurgency or resistance.

This article is interesting, worth reading it. But is the conclusion that is very interesting and very intelligent thinking in McT N opinion.

Patriot Or Traitor?

Dominic Óg McGlinchey

There are times in life when one should know to hold one’s tongue. Surely this was the case last week when Joe Brolly took it upon himself to raise the plight of Peadar Heffron currently living in exile from his native parish as a direct result of joining a British paramilitary police force in the occupied six counties.
Joe who supposedly loves the Gaelic sporting culture has now endangered the lives of many club members along the shores of lough Neagh. It’s not as if they hadn’t seen enough murder at the hands of loyalist death squads at the behest of those who shared the uniform which young Peadar came to wear. One does not need to look too far for the tell-tale signs that those who killed Bellaghy GAA chairman Sean Brown used these very roads and hinterlands to make good their escape during that particular sectarian murder.
British security services have been turning on and off this murder tap for many years. The people of the area stretching from Staffordstown all the way to Mid Ulster knows this only too well. This countryside is littered with family names, Davys, Gallaghers, O’Hagans, Caseys, Stratherns, Ryans, Browns and many, many more who suffered as direct result of this campaign. This campaign also led to communities living in absolute fear. Citizens within these communities were shunned in pubs and social clubs for being seen to be friendly with republicans and in turn might have seen you being targeted for murder.
Special credit must go to Mr Brolly for giving loyalists the information, which usually comes from the mouth of the very reverend William Mc Crea, alleging that members of the Creggan community might be complicit in the attack on Constable Heffron. We only know too well that those loyalists during the sectarian fest of the summer will need little or no excuse to kick some poor Gael to death for wearing a Creggan football top. Will Joe attend the house and carry the coffin? Will he offer his apology to the family for his loose allegations?
Creggan GAA are a wonderful club built in a community who are no strangers to the violence of loyalists or the police. The tradition of Irish nationalism stretches right the way back to the young men who left Cargin and Creggan to go and fight for Irish freedom in the GPO in 1916. There members and former members have had family die as a direct result of the occupation of Ireland by the British.
Peadar Heffron grew up in a republican community with many of his family being very active in republican politics. He had numerous friends who became prominent members of the republican movement. He also has family who are at the very top of the republican leadership within Sinn Fein. Peadar attended Irish republican folk nights along with his friends and cousins, banging bottles and singing songs in Cargin club and other locations. He also attended family weddings in which prominent members of the Movement where present and who report orders having been sent down that Peadar was not to be touched at the function because he had joined the police. Bear in mind that this happened long before Sinn Fein endorsed policing.
People who now sit and selectively review the past through rose tinted glasses would need to look at what happened 15 years or more ago through the lens of the people who were actually there. What it looked like to the naked eye was that this man had betrayed community, a way of life and a tradition going back hundreds of years. In their search for redemption they might also stumble across a truth that they might not be able to handle. What we have known for years is that the British government have been complicit in the killing of its own citizens in the northern state. Their DNA is imprinted on countless killings. They also have been up to their necks in killings carried out by republicans using agents as proxies to carry out the dirty work.
The story of Peadar Heffron makes for sorry reading like many other stories that have been told across this island since the occupation of our country. A blind man in a storm can see what happened. Are people’s memories so short that they don’t see it every time; Kitson type strategies are alive and well.
When Joe and Peadar meet up for dinner at Christmas they might well put a little thought into current and past strategies by British intelligence services in the North, places like Kenya and the middle east. They might also ask who pushed a young easy led lad with an ego as big as a house to allow himself not only to join the police but to be prominent in the promotion of the Irish language and Gaelic Football within the force. That all said, the biggest question that stands out is who gave him the go-ahead to move home to an area in which republican activity persisted. Bearing in mind that his home where the device went off was only a few miles from where an attack took place on the British Army less than a year before which resulted in the only loss by the occupying colonial military since the Provisional ceasefire. British Intelligence are all over this. The spider's web has been well spun. One just has to look closely enough.

Quoting the great Constance Markievicz

"I want the Young Ireland women to remember from me.
Regard yourselves as Irish, believe in yourselves as Irish, as units of a nation distinct from England………..and as determined to maintain your distinctiveness and gain your deliverance.
Arm yourselves with weapons to fight your nations cause.
Arm your souls with noble and free ideas.
Arm your minds with the histories and memories of your country and her martyrs, her language and a knowledge of her arts, and her industries..."

The Emancipation of Women
The emancipation of women is not an act of charity, the result of a humanitarian or compassionate attitude. The liberation of women is a fundamental necessity for the Revolution, the guarantee of it's continuity and the precondition for it's victory.

The main objective of the Revolution is to destroy the system of exploitation and build a new society which release's the potentialities of human being's, reconciling them with labour and with nature. This is the context within which the question of women's emancipation arises.

Interesting article from Junior McDaid House page

This months opinion piece from Junior McDaid House has been written by life long Republican activist Fergal Melaugh.
I am not one for writing statements, or going on social media. Maybe im behind the times, but it seems no one is immune from the poison that is Republicanism on social media.
If we travel back in our recent history a few short years, you will find comradeship and friendship under struggle in the face of shoot to kill, British state repression, jail sentences, on the run and internment. Moving on we would have former comrades trying to end revolutionary Republicanism by stealth, by threats and informing to a former enemy, also at times by the barrel of a gun.
Some Republicans seen the light and the truth at an early stage, others maybe just could not bring themselves to believe the unthinkable, while others tried to fight a losing battle from within.
It is not the fault of individual Republicans who found themselves homeless after they either left or were pushed from the Provisional Movement that they did not feel comfortable approaching existing groups. This was peoples freedom, their lives that they were willing to put on the line to further the struggle.

Some groups of Republicans came together and some could not cross that line. Thats life and thats politics. But why is it that people who class themselves as Republicans feel the need, that when a certain organisation makes a decision, rightly or wrongly, to rush straight on social media and lambast, lie, exaggerate or simply put the boot in?

Every single one of us, who class ourselves as Republican make mistakes, some big, some small, but its what we do after the mistake that counts. Genuine Republicans are all around us and we are all being tarnished and our struggle in general brought into disrepute by individuals with chips on shoulders or worse, evil agendas to pursue.

What are we leaving the next generation? Nothing but arguments and turmoil.
Who would seriously want to get involved in the revolution at the minute.?
To go on social media and label someone a tout raises more questions about the accuser at times than the accused. At some point all the different organisations will have to come together, even if it is to just support different projects but the keyboard warriors are determined to make this a pipe dream.
Why is this?

If someone is concerned about a situation then approach someone and ask. You may not like the answer but its better than creating a snowstorm out of nothing. Allow me to go back to the start of my post when i mentioned certain things that kept Republicanism together. The only thing missing today in this ongoing struggle is the shoot to kills and thats because former comrades have pleaded with their Brit masters that they would find it impossible to keep their base intact if Republicans were to be shot on site. Instead we have ongoing jail sentences, internment and British interference in our country. So whats the problem?

Im proud to say im a member of Saoradh and the IRPWA. I’m proud to say that we don’t tolerate criminality and we acknowledge our mistakes when we make them. What’s to lose by treating each other with respect? Nothing except isolating the nay sayers and those with hidden agendas.
Give the struggle a chance to grow and flourish, if the reformist plan had of worked we as Republicans would be nonexistent.

We have alot more in common than the creation of a 32 County Socialist Republic.
Have you helped in any way the advancement of the struggle by your actions on social media?

The fallacy of "what people want"

Is so big this fallacy used by so many people. Is use by the fake left with their reformist- at best- policies. Is used by the right and the fascist. Is use by former revolutionaries when they became tired, they give up, they are bought or they became traitors. And is use by the very system itself!

The business men, the elites, they will say that they are giving the people what they want.

Because this is like, and to put an example, a cocaine addict. What does he or she want? Cocaine and more cocaine. Then you know what to give her or him. In the other hand are the questions of what does he or she really need or what is good for him or her.

We will deny the power of the propaganda of the system? In all the fronts: social, political, economical, entertainment. We will deny that the effective propaganda is generations old, and the influence is so big that many people don't realize it. We will deny that many people believe they are free in a free world and society, while we know is not the case.

This are only very few of the reasons why, in the present-day society the slogans of "give to the people what they want" or similar is a big fallacy in the 99% of the cases.
In the 1930's in Germany the people did want what the want. Was that good, reasonable or even logic? Not to say that a businessman want to exploit you, then give him or her what he wants, or not?

An opinion of some recent but not unexpected events

People do what they want. If you do one thing and you keep doing it, you don't change. If you do something and then you do other thing then you change, and if you change you can't say that you are doing the same.
When something happens in the present that are so similar to other situations of course the memory starts to work. As it has to be.

RoB said many thinks about the Provos direction, and Billy McKee said one very interesting as he said that if they did want to go that path fine, they were no the first to do so(and as history and life teach us they were not the last) but they didn't have the right other things they did, as the surrender of weaponry to the Erin's enemies.

Here and now the situations is different and the same. It seems impossible and in theory it is impossible. But, surprise, is like that, but let explain why:
Is different because is not the same situation, context, scale and so as when the Provos treason (first of all to the Cause and the martyrs till that moment and then to the future generations because they did take from them tools that the were for the freedom of Ireland as RoB said). Now they are not saying nothing of the weapons, but if they go that way, as for sure their new friends (the only ones to be missing in the photo is the catholic church hierarchy, too much maybe?) -or whatever they are to them- will ask to, then what? Even a single particle of gunpowder given to Ireland's enemies will be what? Another example of if-you-do-one-thing-is-bad-but-if-I-do-the-same-thing-maybe-it won't-be-good-but-for-sure-not-so-bad mentality and actions?
An other thing is the fallacy that Britain and ALL their lackeys are the enemies of the Irish Republicans, of the Republican Cause. No. The first thing they are is enemies of Ireland and the Irish Nation. Then as the enemies of Ireland and the Irish Nation subsequently and instantly they are the enemies of the Republicans.
Is the same because its a giving a propaganda tool (not new, not better, not good by the way) to the enemies of Ireland and the Republican Cause. Or if you want to put it in other way, is giving a propaganda tool to the very system they say they are against.

You don't give presents and be so nice to your enemies. Or maybe the modern thing is like that. Then obviously the modern thing is fundamentally wrong and is bad.

Of course we don't have to defend here the inalienable rights of the Irish Nation and the Irish People. They are clear. The Republican have every right to defend and use them. Even from a political, tactical and strategical point of view is wise to do so and the thing to do.

The difference in doing what some people had done in the past and in the recent days, is that you will be in the headlines and you will be praise and acclaim by the enemies of the freedom of Ireland. In the other hand the ones holding up the inalienable rights of the Irish Nation and People, the defenders of Ireland, that while doing so they will became the targets of the enemies of Ireland and they will attack them.

But, to finish with this opinion, who wants to be the a friend of Ireland's enemies?

Anti-fascism Vs Anti-racism? The weird left

Nowadays many people in the left make the prime cause anti-racism.

It seems that in this present-day, in this era we live in, where globalization is present in every corner, where millions of people for decades already are coming and going, when in the migrations the numbers are in the millions, when in many countries and nations (in all continents, then don't even start with the "white nations! shit or the 'anti immigration" shit) the natives (again, of every colour and religions) are unemployed meanwhile the newcomers come to work, are employed even in management positions or just arrive to enjoy retirement (meanwhile old natives die in poverty)...
is normal to keep some slogans of the 80. Are they living in the past?
Is weird and smell really bad, politically speaking.
Meanwhile the real nazism, the true fascism is developing and advancing. Big brother is advancing.
But this weird left says nothing. Instead they point their finger everywhere else.

Always remember,
does not matter the religion, the class, the colour, the gender, left or right hand, origin or the race:

a repressor is a repressor
a fascist is a fascist
a lackey is a lackey
a useful tool is a useful tool
a nazi is a nazi
a oppressor is a oppressor
a globalist is a globalist

Erin go Bragh

A respectful opinions, hope not controversial

Plenty of times in the resting place of the Martyr Leaders of 1916, in political events or to pay respects.
This is the spot

Always the thought came to mind, why not changing the Cross - a latin cross- for a more Irish Cross (so to speak)?

All the same, only a more Irish Cross. That is the point we are trying to make here.
And again, with all respects said.
Hope no one get offended (and we are not thinking here of the antiIrish  bishops and anti Republican chruch officials)

A example of Socialism

Luxuries are not basic needs.
You have your own state. If you don't want to take the public transport or go by horse, you know the cheapest option.
Means...and money one of them... for the important things. And for the basic needs of the People and the Nation.

Some shit to read

Ironically enough, Stalin's death - either by natural causes or at the hands of a Tito assassin - was largely his own doing.
He ruled with such ruthlessness - executing anyone who stood in his way or defied his orders - that even his own security team was effectively paralysed with fear.
On the day he suffered the stroke that would eventually kill him, he had given strict instructions that he was not to be disturbed.
People who saw him on the day of his stroke, including his successor Nikita Khrushchev, said that he was showing no signs of ill health.
After a meeting that lasted until 4am, Stalin went to bed and sent his guards off duty. They were under strict orders not to disturb him until they were called for.
But, as the sun set that day, there had been no word from the Russian leader.
Reports say that guards saw a light come on in Stalin's room at 6.30pm but there was still no word from the boss, and they were too frightened to break his orders.
Eventually, at 10 pm, the guards decided that they had to enter the room. They found Stalin lying on the floor, unable to move or speak. His watch had broken and stopped at 6.30pm, suggesting a fall.
For some reason, the guards did not immediately contact medical help.
They first called the minister of state security, and then the secret police.
They may have been following protocol but Mr Pirjavec agrees with other historians who claim the delay was intentional - using the time to cover-up or remove evidence.
It did not help that Stalin had imprisoned many of his best physicians during an earlier purge.

This appeared in british media sex years ago, in the daily mail.

Is always good to read how the put some important things, so casual: "For some reason, the guards did not immediately contact medical help."
Why, as journalist, are going to talk about how from power positions within the state and party they dismantle the traditional protective system of Stalin and the people he had confidence and were in charge of it?
Why are they going to say that he wasn't dead when they discovered him laying in the floor and they wait till he died?
And then, of course, nothing suspicious of the people, discovering him lying in the floor and not calling straight away  the nearest doctor (and then whatever calls they want or have to make): They first called the minister of state security, and then the secret police.

In the  article they were trying to say that was Tito who killed (if was the case Stalin was killed ) him. We are to believe that a state like Yugoeslavia has something to do against a power like the USSR. Really?
Was not the KGB so powerful? And Stalin so much a dictator that saw everything? Again, seems very difficult, to put it soft, that if the USSR and its security apparatus was really in the business of blocking Tito's tries to kill him, the yugoeslavians would be able to get even close.

No, it seems yes, a conspiracy. Not only of Western but anti-communist elements (and their current with their leaders, that at the end, after Stalin was dead, took power) within the USSR and the party.

Soviets, IRA style
