Cantabrian fighters in the liberation of Paris

Cantabrians that had to abandon their Motherland, families and friends but that they keep the fight against fascism and the enemies of Freedom. Only a number: since the fascist spanish invasion in 1937 the number of men, women and children killed goes from 8000 to 12000, a number given not by any cantabrian patriot historian by the way!

Many others would had fight with the glorious Red Army, as of the many thousands of  Cantabrians that were force to exile in 1937 hundreds, including many children, went to the USSR.

But as in many others aspects, unfortunately the  history of this small Nation and many of the pages of it as well as the deeds of many of the sons and daughters had been censored, covered and erased. Of course from the spanish right but a lot as well from the spanish left.The spanish republic sold the cantabrian army in 1937. And later on, the spanish left sold the cantabrian guerrilla fighters.

Manipulation is ongoing in this days. Some cantabrians, left spanish minded, did produce historic documents mnay years ago because of the popularity of the guerrilla fighters within the cantabrian people. And for many years some individual had touch not only the guerrilla fight but the 1936-37 war and the treason of the spanish left from a patriotic and republican view. His work had been used by many but at the same time they politically marginalized it, hiding the work as much as possible and covering it, not discussing it publicly as asked, but just cover and ignored.

Nowadays because some work done in recent years many people claim to be this and that.

As many in Ireland knew of, not so many in that small ancient Nation, Kitsonian tactics are a important weapon in the imperialist arsenal. This tactic is in full motion in Cantabria unfortunately, combined with political weakness cause by the ideological degeneration, again, mainly cause by the agents of the system, old and young. And this agents work in all spheres, including the historical field. The fact is that huge manipulation is going on even from people declaring to be cantabrian activists nowadays. And again, from the spanish left has been consistent for many decades.

All for one goal: prevent the Cantabrian People to  be proud of the many examples of their fighting history, to prevent them to wake up, to be proud again of her Nation and to realize the genocide that is killing their Nation  and the many traitors that are around.
