Lots of people seems to have spain, basque and catalonian regions as political references, In the present time as with regards to the so call spanish civil war there is a lot of ignorance outside spanish state borders. An ignorance and misbeliefs fomented by many actors, many of them imperial ones. Like when they try to compare Ireland's fight with the one of the basque region!

But then, many of them they go out and they portrait an image of stubborn people with a clarity of ideals and ideas, and that the spanish republic was the best thing of the world and so on...

The funny thing is that there are many many hundreds of nazis and fascists, even organized groups, in catalonia that are against spain and that they support the separation moves and so.
We don't even talk of the basques. Let Gerry Adams do it
