There is much talk of course around Palestine, the Zionist entity, Jersualem and so on. The resistance of the Palestinians is an heroic fight of a people against many and very powerful enemies. McT N support their right to freedom in their land, and support their right to resist and fight for justice. No doubt.
McT N is adamant that whatever you agree with or support, talking about every issue at national level or around the world this have to be done while keeping one own view, perspective and right to critical opinion of everyone and everything, including oneself of course
As said in the post before, we do not really understand why Palestine and Jerusalem had to be the center of the world and much more so if you are or come from a oppress, exploit and violated Nation. This does not mean of course not seeing anything else and not having solidarity and sympathy with other Nations around the world.
But Palestine, and so call Israel are always in the news. And since the US president decision on the capital of Israel and have it openly recognized as Jersualem much have been said. Again we see the tensions that never went away arousing. Now, again a lot of people talking of Palestine. But when we go into solutions of the issue here, is kind of monolithic, whatever the side: two states. And some elaborate more and say, two states, Israel and a viable Palestinian state. Ok, it seems the only optipon here is two state. De facto separating the population in more or less two states based in religion and origin or whatever way you want to look for the reasoning behind the two states solution.
But we have to remember that for example, Gaddafi was a supporter of one state solution and some of us remember that the one state solution was in the table of many Palestinians and Palestinian factions. Here, as we listened to some representative of them years ago, based in the principles of every person, every citizen equal rights in a sole State covering the all territory of Palestine. If you think about that it makes sense: jew, muslim, christian or whatever sect or cult you are of, or none, as a citizen, the same rights and duties as everyone else. And if after so many years asking for love and friendship in some cases would be to much a basic mutual respect and again, from the base of equal rights and duties for everyone without privilege for any particular sect or religion. Because there are bad jews, bad muslims and bad christians as they are good jews, muslims and christians.
To finish this piece, we want to talk about Trump, the current US president.
Fairness is a important thing in life and one should be fair with everyone, or at least try to avoid been unfair.
Trump is Trump and we are not going to talk of him in general. McT N is not fan of the american way of life (north america or south by the way - keeping aside the true remains of traditional native nations of north and south an their traditional ways of living) and not much is needed to say.
But for example, of Trump. He said some truths and reasonable things in the campaign, and after it when he became president. Much more than any previous candidate or president anyway.
One very telling, at one point with all the russian thing he said that he don't like any country interfering not only Russia.
Or that he was a racist and one has to see only all the photos with the likes of Mike Tyson, Michael Jackson or the fact that he had some black women working in the care and education of some of his childs.
Now, with the Jerusalem decision. How many have listen to his all speech? By the way Pence is much more disgusting that him, and since the beginning.
In his speech and in some statements first said that the israelies and palestians are the ones that at the end have to decide themselves and between them everything. And that is the truth! Someone expected that the US, with the military-industrial-security complex still living was going to became the Palestinians backer and champion of their freedom attacking Israel? Some very intelligent people should think much more deeply in this issue and many more. Or stop laughing at the people whatever is the case, and whatever the portrait themselves as.
Trump speak the truth when he said he is recognizing a fact. Are the US new in their support for Israel? If that is not going to change much better in the open and the clearest as possible. And he have done that. Actually, is someone ask who is behind the new wage of protesting against zionism in palestine and pushing people to protest in the street, something verymuch needed everywhere there is oppression... the answer is Trump?
Other thing to think about, is that if you don't care about someone why so much outrage for his decision? Of course Trump, or the US or the UN does not have the right to give Jerusalem to no one.Someone would say that the ones born there, the ones living there taking History and tradition to account should be the base and the decision makers. Whatever the case, Trump did not give Jerusalem to no one, he recognize the israeli part of jerusalem as the capital of Israel what all the past president did.
The present israeli hegemony is an unfortunate fact but maybe are more important thing to see, talk and ask about as why are so many arabs and more important palestinians talking and making deals with them.
What the issue here? That when things, the same things -because in reality not much have change in reality, were under the table like the deals everything was ok, and us collaboration with israel a little less outrageous. Yes, Obama, and much more Hillary and Bill Clinton were radical critics of Zionism. Enough or such bullshit.
To much hypocrisy, of course in the Israel side but in the Palestinians side as well. And have to be said.As the PFLP the Palestinians themselves will liberate themselves. Because in the palestinian side many mistakes had been made as well. And some not very good positions. At not talking of the time when palestinians were selling land to jewish settlers in the early XX century when it seems no danger on doing so, but you were selling your land to foreigners for money. Is not the same that sellings a house or a flat. History is complex, as in other cases.
An to finish this, just ask how many people know that Trump had criticized the Saudis for the blockade against Yemen and that he had demand that the let first aid, medicine, food and other things to reach Yemen and to go to the Yemeni people. Maybe not so interesting.
Trump is, first of all, a US president, and that means something. And he has many things and/or ideas to be criticized, but not so in others. Fairness critic applies for him as well.
McT N believes that self-criticism should be practise by everyone to start with, and after that in fair criticism to everyone-everything (harsh or soft that other issue, depending in what, who and where), should you be a president, a rich businessman, a leftist a rightist, a immigrant, black, white, brown, native, mixed, man, woman, gay...
Because as we say to the gay community or more specific, to the LGTB movement, is not fair at all that you can say whatever, you can attack whoever but then you don't look down yourselves, you don't analyse yourselves in a critical manner, and you don't allow any fair criticism, even from the base of the respect of same-sex relation. The same to the feminist movement.
